How to Use Your Palo Santo

• Hold the stick at a 45-degree angle and light the tip, allowing it to catch flame for 30 seconds
• Gently blow out the flame so the wood smoulders and produces smoke
• Move through your space slowly and intentionally, directing the smoke where it is needed — corners, doorways, around your body, over sacred objects
• Hold a clear intention as you work — what you are releasing, and what you are calling in
• The stick will naturally extinguish itself after a minute or two — this is normal. Simply relight as needed
• Press the end firmly into a fireproof dish or sand to extinguish fully when finished
• Never leave a burning stick unattended
